About Me

I live in Durham, in the north east of England, where, in addition to the day-job, I teach Lindy Hop and Blues dance with Lindy Jazz.

I’ve been DJing since around we started Lindy Jazz in 2007, and it has become something of a passion since then. I play for Swing, Balboa and Blues dancers at our regular weekly classes, at all our own events – including the rapidly expanding DJam, and at many events in the UK and abroad, such as Herrang, the Snowball in Stockholm, Barswingona, the London Swing Festival, Blues Baby Blues amongst many others.

This blog began its life as a result of people asking me where I get the music I play, and is slowly expanding to encompass a few thought on DJing in general, to relate a few DJing and dancing experiences, and so on. The main focus will always be on music. While I don’t consider myself any kind of an expert on music, I am slowly learning, and the journey is a fun one, and I aim to share some of that journey on this blog.

I hope you enjoy your time here, and find it useful.

Actually – the version I’ve been using is by an Australian with the unusual name of Pugsley Buzzard.
